WELLNESS / 01

Build the daily routine around your actual risk.

Home care fundamentals

Brush twice daily with fluoride toothpaste and clean between teeth using a method that fits your anatomy and dexterity. Personalized tools or technique may help with implants, bridges, braces, wider spaces, or limited mobility.

Enamel and decay risk

Previous decay, frequent sugar or acid exposure, dry mouth, exposed roots, medications, and some appliances can affect risk. Fluoride, diet changes, saliva support, sealants, or closer monitoring may be recommended.

Prompt evaluation matters. Facial swelling, difficulty breathing or swallowing, uncontrolled bleeding, serious trauma, or fever with dental swelling can require urgent care.

Gum health

Bleeding may indicate inflammation. Assessment can include pocket measurements, recession, mobility, bleeding, and imaging. Periodontal maintenance is often tailored to disease history and ongoing risk.

Sensitivity and dry mouth

Symptoms can have several causes. Persistent changes deserve professional evaluation rather than self-diagnosis.

WELLNESS IN CONTEXT

Small patterns shape long-term risk.

Frequency matters

Repeated sugar or acid exposure can extend the time teeth spend under challenge. Discuss changes that fit your nutrition, medical needs, and daily routine.

Restorations need maintenance

Implants, bridges, crowns, dentures, and orthodontic appliances create specific cleaning areas. Ask for a demonstration and a realistic maintenance schedule.

Wear deserves a cause

Grinding, clenching, erosion, bite forces, brushing habits, and other factors may overlap. Ask how the observed pattern supports the explanation.

Soft tissues matter

Report sores, lumps, color changes, swallowing difficulty, or persistent hoarseness. A change that persists should be evaluated even if it is painless.

Questions for routine care

  • Where is inflammation recurring?
  • Has my risk level changed?
  • Which areas are being watched?
  • What home-care adjustment matters most?
  • Why is this visit interval recommended?

A personalized schedule

Visit frequency can reflect disease history, restorations, home care, tobacco use, medical factors, medications, and current risk. Ask how your interval was selected.
